As a paralegal with Pipkin Ferguson PLLC in Houston, Marc Martin is responsible for a multitude of tasks under the supervision of attorneys, including legal document drafting, proofing discovery documents, e-filing, e-serving, correspondence, file maintenance, Bates labeling, and records requests. He has been working for the company since March of 2019, and intends to obtain board certification and a paralegal specialist certificate. Marc Martin attended Rice University, where he completed his paralegal certification on February 25, 2019. He has a particular interest in construction law and tort law, and has scored at least 90 percent on all tests as well as assignments regarding witness interview, citations, discovery documents, and memoranda.
Prior to pursuing a career in the legal sector, Marc Martin spent 12 years working as a multi-tasking program administrator in academics. He served as a teacher at three Houston schools.
Mr. Martin holds a membership with the Houston Metropolitan Paralegal Association and regularly attends Business Network International events. In his free time, he enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, rock climbing, and cooking.
